In our view Research Organizations are individual legal entities those do research activities or have research groups or departments. We describe Research
Organizations by their name, country and region and organization type. Each Research Organization can have multiple Research Units (research groups,
research departments, etc.) We organize Research Organizations by the fields of research of their Research Units. The categories of fields of research are
based on Common European Research Classification Scheme (CERCS), annex to CERIF (Common European Research project Information Format, Official
Journal of the European Communities, L189, 1991) and ortelius thesaurus.
Hereby we provide our suggested method of searching the database, please feel free to differ from it.
